I wouldn't say that McCabe being excluded from the under 23 team is "rightfully so". he has proven in the recent past to be very good in International play. There are quite a few young d-men that should be considered for a spot on the team, including the unmentioned Connor Murphy. I certainly don't think insulting Garth for his opinion is necessary. There are a few players I would consider over the "Ghost", seeing as he really is just a flash in the pan until he shows some level of consistency. I am Not taking away from the fantastic year he had as I feel he should be rookie of the year, If I had to choose the team i would want to see more from him, I also wouldn't be that quick to throw Hanifan on the team either, there are similar young players with more International experience.

Yeah but if you can't find 7 or 8 Defenders under the age of 23 that have so far been better than McCabe you're simply not looking very hard.

Jones! How could i forget him too

Not many of them has played as well than McCabe in International Hockey either, that is something you have to take into consideration.
I think Jones and Murphy should be in and Ghost and Hanifin get to wait their turn and that is assuming McCabe isn't worthy, not my opinion but it seems to be everyone else's
